Meg Lee, singer/songwriter was born in Cheshire. She relocated to London where she gained a Performing Arts Diploma from The London School of Musical Theatre.
She appeared in London West End shows and toured with acclaimed director Mark Hedges’ in ‘Night On Broadway’ before eventually heading back up North to pursue her first choice career as a solo artist. Meg Lee is now one of the North West’s most popular and in demand contemporary jazz singers, Meg has been played on Clare Teals BBC Radio 2 jazz show and has shared stages with acts including Rumer and appeared with Sarah Jane Morris at Ronnie Scott’s. Jazz and blues has always been close to Meg’s heart since first hearing Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee as a teenager - Now, equally influenced and inspired by contemporary voices such as Melody Gardot and Madeline Peyroux, she embarked on a spell of intense live work, becoming a regular headliner at jazz venues and festivals around the North West, carving out a loyal following. She released her debut album “Meet Me” in 2018. Working with producer & co-writer Nigel Stonier (whose productions and collaborations include Clare Teal & Thea Gilmore ) Meg also released her 3 track seasonal EP “Wintertime Thing”. Reaching BBC Radio 2. In 2024 Meg released her new single GYPSY which has already been featured on BBC Manchester and other regional stations.
